Kathleen Bennett was born in Western Pennsylvania and raised a coal miner’s daughter. She founded Resort Marketing in 1996. Kathleen has worked in Professional Management, Marketing, Public Relations/Communications, Branding, Advertising, Food & Beverage, Revenue Management, Customer Service, and Operations in the Business & Hospitality Industry since 1980.
She has consulted for local, regional, and national clients, including retail stores, executive buildings, restaurants, hotels, resorts, management companies, a golf company, golf courses, individuals, associations, a public transit agency, radio and television, nonprofit organizations, including founding the Clubs Fore Kids Charity Golf Tournament benefitting Boys & Girls Club Palm Springs including PR for this charity, raising funds for Rally of the Cure Charity Golf Tournament. Spent 15 years as Secretary of the Palm Springs Walk of Stars Foundation and 14 years on the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International Foundation Board. Other charities are Bob Hope Classic Charities, Palm Desert Rotary, Well in the Desert, LA County Fire Department Woman’s Auxiliary.
Kathleen served five years as vice chairman of the Palm Springs, Bureau of Tourism Advisory Board and 28 years associated with the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International, serving 14 years on their non-profit Board of Directors.
Kathleen is and has been involved in numerous organization’s and non-profit organizations in the Coachella Valley since 1992. She has been honored with numerous awards and recognitions throughout her career. She was voted one of “101 Influencers in the Coachella Valley” by Palm Springs Life Magazine readers.

Admin Assistant/Marketing Coordinator
Bilingual in English and Spanish, Velazquez has 15 years’ experience as office assistant and coordinator of all projects for Resort Marketing. She manages the administrative, branding and marketing departments. A graduate of Kaplan College, Velazquez is proficient in mainstream digital business platforms, along with general office duties, client communications, assists in the creation of business missives, and is skilled in the area of market research and social media platforms.
